Sen. Leach stands with Leroy Howell of Albert Einstein Healthcare Network, sponsor of Leachs 2011 Senior Expo.
PLYMOUTH MEETING, November 7, 2011 - State Sen. Daylin Leach (D-Delaware/ Montgomery) announced the success of his 3rd annual senior expo held Friday, November 4th at the Greater Plymouth Community Center in Plymouth Meeting.
Each year, Leach sets a theme for his senior expo and this years event focused on fraud and senior crime prevention. It was sponsored by Albert Einstein Healthcare Network.
The senior expo is a great experience for guests every year, but I am especially pleased by this years focus on fraud and crime prevention, Leach said. Its my duty as an elected official to inform my constituents about ways to protect themselves and their families, and this event allowed me to do so effectively through the presentations made by vendors and public safety officers. Id like to thank those participants, especially Albert Einstein Healthcare Network, the guests who attended the expo and the Greater Plymouth Community Center for hosting us.
Residents of the 17th District took advantage of exhibits and received information about consumer protection, health, social security, transportation, revenue, public safety from vendors and government agencies. Additionally, Mercy Suburban Hospital provided free flu shots to interested attendees, and guests were able to participate in a special presentation by David Shallcross, Public Protection Community Liaison from the state Attorney Generals office.
