HARRISBURG, May 20, 2011 – State Sen. Daylin Leach (D-Delaware/Montgomery) today announced the third episode of the podcast series, “Your Pennsylvania”, has been posted to www.senatorleach.com and iTunes. The series, highly-acclaimed by listeners, highlights the important work and interesting stories of workers around the state.
This episode follows inspectors from the Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Weights and Measures as they check the accuracy and efficiency of gas pumps. Zachary Hoover, "Your Pennsylvania” host and Sen. Leach’s Chief of Staff, goes along for the ride and shows Pennsylvanians how the agency protects consumers from unscrupulous gas vendors.
“Many of the people we’ve interviewed throughout the podcast’s run have showed us that the state and employees in the public sector are working on our behalf in some unexpected places,” Leach said. “We hope to shine a light on their important work and the benefits they provide to Pennsylvania so that residents can become more informed and more understanding of what state workers actually do.”
Hoover calls the podcast “an ongoing conversation with the people who work to make Pennsylvania a great place to call home.”
Throughout its run, the series will feature important and unique players in state government with new episodes added regularly.
