PLYMOUTH MEETING, October 6, 2009 – State Sen. Daylin Leach (D-Delaware/ Montgomery) proudly acknowledged that Epiphany of Our Lord School in Plymouth Meeting was recently honored with the 2009 National Blue Ribbon School Award. Epiphany of Our Lord was one of just 314 schools in the nation to be recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
“I am pleased to announce that Epiphany, a school in my district, has been honored with this distinguished award,” Leach said. “Our community takes pride in raising the bar academically, and the Blue Ribbon Award demonstrates that dedication to excellence.”
The National Blue Ribbon Award was created in 1982 to recognize the best elementary, middle and high schools in the United States. The award signifies that winning schools take an unparalleled approach to academics and student achievement.
Epiphany of Our Lord, a Roman Catholic school, educates approximately 200 students in preschool through eighth grade. The Archdiocese of Philadelphia noted that it was one of only three private schools in the state and 50 nationwide to receive the Blue Ribbon Award this year.
