Wayne, June 9, 2010 – State Sen. Daylin Leach, D-Delaware/Montgomery, today announced that he will hold the 2nd annual “Dog Park Day” this Saturday, June 12 from 10 a.m. to noon at Harford Park in Wayne.
“Last year’s event was an enjoyable afternoon for residents of the district and their animal companions,” Leach said. “I am eager to once again interact with my neighbors and friends at one of our community’s most beautiful parks.”
Leach noted that the event will feature treats for both humans and animals. Guests are encouraged to bring along items to donate to Finding Shelter, an animal shelter located in Norristown. Accepted donations will include leashes, collars, blankets, towels, treats and toys. He added that his District Office will also be collecting the requested items for the remainder of this week.
