Senator Leach offers internships to students during the summer, fall, and spring semesters. Interns will gain first-hand knowledge of the legislative process and of the daily operations of a District office by working with constituents and staff on issues affecting the 17th District as well as all of Pennsylvania.
Internship Requirements
- Candidates applying for the Fall and Spring semesters must be currently enrolled college/university students.
- Summer Interns must be at least rising juniors in High School.
- Fall/Spring interns must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
- Summer Interns must be available at least 10 hours per week.
Majors in Government, Political Science, Public Policy or a related area of study are preferred for Fall/Spring candidates.
